There isn't much to say anyway.

I agree, and his serve isn't that bad either so I don't get why he seems to have his serve broken so often. Mutis is ok, it's not the worst loss in the world especially on a quick surface, it's just annoying that it would've been a main draw in an ATP event, RG is still his only one

I just saw that too, 6-0 6-1 to Ascione.

And it was a WC.
I can't believe he hasn't qualified for a single ATP tournament at the age of 21.
Oh boy, it's depressing.

He's waiting for TMS Paris, he's going to qualify for that, and then win the tournament

Well I don't think the guy in my avatar has played any ATP tournaments either. His current ranking is 704.
Well now Ascione won the first set against Fish so who knows.

Re: While Mathieu is on the (Mont)court, we cheer in here! (Current Stop : Metz)
The girl of the blog saw Mathieu and he told her his schedule for the next weeks!
He's leaving today for Rennes, and then he will play in a row:
- Kolding (DK) next week
- qualies in Lyon
- 2 weeks in Korea (Seoul and Busan, both on hardcourt, I think)
+ Naples in Florida (I looked up, it starts on 20th Nov. and it's on clay - I don't really get the idea, it's apparently the last clay tournament of the season, so why back to clay just for one tournament in the US?)
And around the 20th December, he will be in Noumea to start his preparation for the AO.

Mathieu's draw in Rennes:
(6)Mathieu Montcourt (FRA) vs. Dominic Meffert (GER)
Richard Bloomfield (GBR) vs. Lukas Lacko (SVK)
Uros Vico (ITA) vs. Jean-Michel Pequerry (FRA)
Qualifier vs. (2) Olivier Patience (FRA)

Ummm, the livescoring is apparently not working very well, people are not happy in the tournament thread.
It's the first edition of the tournament and they obviously still need some practice. I will harass them with e-mails tomorrow, they have to fix it up for Mathieu's match.
(But at least we have the results of the matches pretty fast and with stats, I don't think it's that bad, we've already had worse Challengers in that regard.)
Easy win in doubles with Carraz - nobody cares, I know, but 6-1 6-1 is a nice scoreline.

His ranking is slowly slipping down, he's now #168. A couple of wins in Rennes would be nice, Mathieu!

I just checked the French blog and the girl says his leg is completely healed now and he feels more confident for Rennes.
