Re: Upcoming American Players
I certainly hope Tim wins, but Levine has been amazing.

Re: Upcoming American Players
Young defeated Fugate 6-3, 6-1. I was wrong about that one. Young still hasn't dropped a set and has only really been challenged in one set.
The top two seeds in the 16s bracket, Brennan Boyajian and Ryan Thacher, will meet in the final. The winner will get an automatic WC into the U.S. Junior Open, though both will assuredly get one.

Re: Upcoming American Players
Fugate is 235235235 levels below the other three seeds.
This tournament was always down to Young, Levine, and Smyczek.

Re: Upcoming American Players
Justin picked Levine to win the Zoo a little while back. Can't remember where I saw that though, I'll have to ask him.

Fugate actually defeated Young in straight sets in their last meeting, which was in January. He's also had a couple pretty good results in Futures recently. Young is certainly the better prospect, but Fugate is capable of beating him. That said, he got crushed today.

Re: Upcoming American Players
That says more about Young's mentality than Fugate's level, though.

Levine defeated Smyczek 6-7, 6-1, 6-4. I'm 0 for 2.

Well, he also defeated Smyczek in their most recent meeting, but that was in May of 2005. He's also 1-1 vs. Levine.

Re: Upcoming American Players
I think Young will take out Levine in 4 tight sets.

It usually is, yeah, it wasn't last year for some reason.

Re: Upcoming American Players
The loser will automatically get a WC into the qualifying draw, if not the main draw.
