According to the US commentators (bringing this thread back on topic a little? ), Ferrer was having really bad trouble with the surface in practice - according to what PMac saw and told them - and that's why Pmac was not surprised when Ferrer was not put in the lineup.

Thank you Barry McKay is not commentating this tie. he was such a tool.

And Jimmy and Ted are a better duo then Lief and Barry IMO.

Enberg is better than Barry Mackay. But it's close.

I wish I could say that. The man annoys me to no end. And yes I recognise he knows what he's talking about. But he says the weirdest things that would be okay when you are sitting at home on the couch but not while commentating a match. Like about Verdasco, who according to Koening 'feels very important when he plays in a stadium'.

Well, you could take that comment as he hates playing on small outside courts.

I wonder if he will hear a Dougie Adler special like last year.

In Monte Carlo. "Hey, the umpire is Steve Ulrich, he and I are the only Americans here in Monte Carlo, this week."

During the GB/the Netherlands Davis Cup tie, in the match were Jamie Murray teamed up with Greg Rusedski, the following parody occurred:
(I've forgotten who the commentators were... )

Commentator 1 : "Great play from Andy Murray..."
Commentator 2: "Jamie Murray"
Commentator 1: "Great play from him as well...

He must have got their names mixed up at least 3 times during the tie...

I know they're brothers but they aren't identical twins by any means

So why not say he hates playing on small outside courts? It was btw preceded by a rant about how Verdasco knows exactly what is in fashion and how dresses according to that.

I'm sure there will be a Doug Adler special!

Today, the bwin commentator was obsessed with Rafa's shorts. He couldn't fathom how he could play in them:

"There is a debate going on whether they are short trousers or long shorts."

After a long rally (which Nadal won):

"Starace doesn't seem to cave in. He has been broken already though. And all this despite Nadal's shorts!"

Later in the match:

"It seems that Nadal's shorts are quite a topic of discussion." I think he was referring to the bwin chat room.

"In fact Nadal's shorts are quite the opposite of Andre Agassi's."

As if it was the very first time Nadal ever wore the capris
