Simon Stadler (22 years)
Benedikt Dorsch (25 years)
Benjamin Becker (25 years)

And there are more rising up the rankings.
Most of these started playing professionally very late. I believe the reason for their success are new training and support systems in Germany where players get much better practice conditions than a few years ago. And officials have realised that players beyond the age of 20 can still have lots of potential, which countries like France have proven for years already.

As you say, it used to be that we always saw French guys breaking through to the top 100-150 after the age of 25 but yes now it seems the same thing is happening with the Germans. I'd been noticing this for a while and it's cool to see someone else point it out.
