For me it would be great. I love watching Fed achieving history, and if he wins the Fed Slam, even better. However, if Nadal wins a 3rd straight French Open, that's not too shabby either.

That's not totally boring, but I'd switch:

Wimbledon - Federer
US Open - Berdych
Australian Open - Gasquet
Roland Garros - Federer

OR

Wimbledon - Gasquet
US Open - Berdych
Australian Open - Baghdatis
Roland Garros - Federer

Federer winning Shanghai no matter what.

Considering how ridiculous the state of men's tennis is nowadays; I don't think anyone would bare much feeling towards it.

Once this pattern continues for a little while longer, you might as well cap the 2000's as the bullshit era of tennis.

2 players simultaneously breaking records set 30 years ago?
Unlike the 70s. There is actual money to be made in tennis. And still, the level is so ridiculous that two players are stomping all over the rest.

I still think he needs to master the slide on the clay courts, then he'll be able to win the lot

Federer has to get his head together and beat Nadal sometime, surely. If not 2007, then in time for his Golden Slam in 2008. </pipe dream> To answer the original question, I would be disappointed again, but still proud of them both for what they have accomplished.

Who actually said that? I've seen the quote floating around, some wise individual must've given such insightful information in their opinion about his RG loss? As I wasn't around, I missed the fun.
