Re: Martin Klizan
Excellent job by Klizan qualifying in Valencia, plays Kevin Anderson in the first round. I hope he can win this one.

Re: Martin Klizan
I love Martin's personality and game, so refreshing to see somebody crazy and so aggressive
Two good wins in Heilbronn and a real chance to make the finals here. I'm hoping for a Klizan-Stebe final

Re: Martin Klizan
After raising his ranking from #155 to start 2011 to a career-high #86 in September, before finishing a career-best #117, with a challenger title in Genova, another final and four semifinals as well as qualifying for the ATP 500 event in Valencia, Martin has started this season in even better form, winning back-to-back events during the Moroccan challenger tour, in Rabat and Marrakech and has risen his ranking to a provisional #93. Most importantly, he will likely make his first ever direct acceptance into the MD of a major at the French Open! Martin has finally been able to control himself mentally and has the confidence right now that has given him the belief he will always win when he steps onto the court.
His junior results weren't a fluke as some may have feared, it's great to see Martin progressing and starting to reach his potential as a player. His next scheduled tournament is Barletta next week. He defends a challenger final in a couple of weeks so it will be important he gains a few wins in Italy to offset any potential points lost from the Rome challenger final and solidify a French Open MD position. Hopefully he continues the good form and keeps winning!

Re: Martin Klizan
Don't forget that these Moroccan challengers are really weak and not really a good measurement. We'll have to see what the European clay brings.
I hope he mixes up challengers with 250 events.

Re: Martin Klizan
Martin withdrew from Barletta, meaning his next scheduled tournament is Mersin the week after this upcoming one.
Yes, the Moroccan challengers aren't the strongest but not necessarily weak, either. Martin had to beat very good players to win both titles, and winning 10 matches in a row at any level is extremely impressive. Now as the European clay season is beginning, this is the opportunity for Martin to prove himself on a bigger stage and translate his challenger results in North Africa in bigger challengers and ATP tournaments. With his confidence level as high as it is currently, I think he has a good chance to be able to do so.

Re: Martin Klizan
Klizan was sick in that Bordeaux week and still managed to win both singles and doubles titles.
I hope he recovers very soon to prepare for RG. Archievable goal might be 3rd round.
