It's one thing to see him struggle and have trouble and for it to upset him, even if he doesn't know the answers or how to fix it. But to see him and his brother both say things on his end are ok. That's kind of hard to continually support.

Blabber John. Get over yourself. He's damn satisfied with this pathetic macho mindset.
Andy served 76% but placed it poorly in his 1st match.... Was broken twice there...
don't give me that bullcrap about how great Andy's serve is.

Re: The "It will be a HEALTHY grass season" thread. (Queens)
it proves that the Roddicks are so inept as Andy supporters and supposed
role models. They're spoiled and Andy didn't suffer enough.
Therefore, he became narrow-minded (believes everyone is correct and helpful).
Guys playing on clay had decent matches on grass a week later.
Andy sat back being a fool for 2 weeks. Practicing nothing new. BS.
I'm sure he's on the phone telling his mama about how
helpful a few matches
with mediocre grass players were.....
Idiot should've lost some weight and went straight to Roland Garros.
instead, he tried to stay away....dumbing down in exhibitions and destroying his foot
before a match began.
John sat there in Germany as "captain" of morons.
Andy knew it after ripping his foot in the French Open. It's complacent "stupidity".
Does John know that Andy's job's dead and neither of them
can do amateur tasks on court.
Hello? You won't win Slams and DC no matter how many fans and
sympathetic nonfans bought tickets.

Re: The "It will be a HEALTHY grass season" thread. (Queens)
This unbitching of James to Andy is tres uncool. From what I've read, Andy basically took those bitch chains off of James and wrapped it around his own neck. I'm with Deb on this one, his thinking that his form is fine is very shittastic and it's obvious the grass has done nothing to his confidence. Me thinks he got a bit too complacent after his easy win over Gonzo yesterday that he just thinks grass wins are automatic for him again.
Good thing James is very likeable.

Re: The "when I said 'healthy' I meant mental health too" Queens thread
partygirl, get that obscene picture of Ivan out of here
Jace, I think Andy was more complacent about his 6-0 hth over James than his win over Gonzo.
There was more variety to Andy's serve during the Gonzo match than what he showed today. No wonder James was returning great.

But if this is true, that is really disappoinitng, because he, perhaps more than anyone else, should have known how much better he was and how dangerous he was. And it also would mean he was lying yesterday when he went on about how dangerous he is now. So, I hope this isn't true.

Trying to find an honest word to find, The truth enslaved
Oh you speak to me in riddles, And you speak to me in rhymes
My body aches to breathe your breath, Your words keep me alive
And I would be the one, To hold you down
Kiss you so hard, I'll take your breath away
And after, I'd wipe away the tears
Just close your eyes dear

Re: The "when I said 'healthy' I meant mental health too" Queens thread
After humiliating himself in the US Open,
he couldn't resist blogging "we're lucky to be alive".
He had nothing to say but to lead us to believe that
his life is nothing compared to other people's.
"Life was more important than a match" garbage.
Just before this match, he thinks life's peachy and the result was out of his control...just not very important.
I'm sure you'll win Wimbledon with crap serves and indifferent tennis, Andy.
Qualifers can beat you....ask Dean Goldfine.
Listening to his brother and mother talk on Sportscentury,
it sounded like
they thought Macho Andy's success depended on serving the ball so fast that
the ball hit the fence.
Copying his brother and playing carelessly equated to FIGHTING.

Re: The "when I said 'healthy' I meant mental health too" Queens thread
I saw the match live this afternoon and I wasn't worried at all. It was clear Blake had the return game on; Andy was doing ok, there were not that many long rallies, Andy got better at them the longer the match lasted.
I don't think Andy or any of his coaches will ever be able to change his technique or style of play. And I wouldn't even bother. I liked what I saw this afternoon because Andy looked eager and relaxed at the same time. Ok, some faults, some lack of serve variety sometimes, but he's getting better.
Dutch commentator on Eurosport saw Andy's new girlfriend in the stands yesterday. Lovely brunette, woohoo if it's true! Good for him, hope he's happy and dating (and that on the day it was announced that Mandy Moore broke up with Zach Braff, what coincidence; by the way, the lovely brunette was not Mandy!).
