I don't want to be Verdasco right now; this result must sting badly.

X-Man only lost 8 points on serve. He's taken advantage of the draw and had a good tournament for the first time in a while, nice to see.

Lu did well to win yesterday, anything for him on clay is a bonus, especially with those Wimbledon points coming off pretty soon.

Those talking about Lu returning to his old form: Did you even see the match yesterday??? Lu wasn't good at all then, as Fiasco truly has become that bad. Lu's last four matches are a 6-1, 6-0 loss to Youzhny, a 6-0, 6-4 loss to world #411 Ervin Elaskovic in qualifying (who subsequently lost in straights to Gerard Granollers), a straight sets win over Fiasco, and a 6-2, 6-2 loss to Malisse.

Beginning to see the picture? Fiasco has really fallen that low. Lu has been atrocious all of 2011, and has won ATP level match on clay in his entire career (Fiasco). Fiasco was simply beyond awful for a "top 20" player yesterday, with the worst errors and body language that I've ever seen for a top 20 player.

Today's result wasn't a shock at all (one clay mug just being substantially better than a player in atrocious form who is beyond awful on clay), and Fernando Fiasco should be ashamed of himself.
