Withdrew from Rennes, so I'm guessing he's out of Orleans too. That's really, really hurtful, Rennes is his home event and he was defending titlist points. He worked so hard to get into the top 100 and that looks to have caught up to him. Now he's going to find it difficult to finish top 100.

Some news about Marco. It's a tendinitis in his wrist since the US Open and it seems his season is almost over. He could try a come back for the interclub. He will skip Melbourne qualies because good news his wife is attending their second child for january

Yea, good news!!! Congrats to Marco and his wife

Unfortunately his season is over, though. I guess it wouldn't matter to finish top 100 since he wouldn't be in Australia anyway. He signed up for Valencia qualifying and I saw his name on the preliminary entry list for Bratislava, though, so we'll see. Most important is that his child is healthy, and he's healthy and ready for a great 2011!

In another interview he said he was hoping to be back for Bercy so maybe it's not totally over. And he continues in 2012.

"J'ai une tendinite au poignet depuis l'US Open et je porte actuellement une attelle. C'est dommage parce que j'avais réussi à remonter dans le Top 100 cet été mais là, comme je ne peux pas jouer, et que j'avais gagné des points à cette période l'an passé, je vais de nouveau chuter au classement. According a tweet his daughter born yesterday I think it was expected in January but congrats to the family

Because of that he starts his season in mid-january surely in Heilbronn.

Congrats to Marco on the birth of his new daughter!

Unfortunately his tennis this season hasn't been so bright 5-6 record overall. His best result thus far is a QF in Quimper. He qualified in Montpellier but lost R1 to Cipolla. In fairness, he hasn't gotten the best of draws this year so hopefully that changes. His next scheduled tournament is St. Breiuc the week after next, hopefully he has a big run there!

Marc won 6-4 3-6 7-5 in R1 of St. Brieuc vs Navarro. He came back from 3-5 down in the third. Great fightback win for him. Matches like this should spur him on and will help bring back the level in his tennis.

He plays his second round match Thursday vs Bednarek. A great opportunity for a win, hopefully he takes advantage!

Marco won 6-0 6-2 over Bednarek in St. Brieuc. Good to have an easy win after the struggles in R1. He plays Ouanna in the QF, the final match on center court. Jo is on a hot streak so it will be difficult for Marco to win, hopefully he can pull it off!

He was injured during a future at the beginning of july. It's a knee problem he will be back for US Open qualies. He spend time with his family during summer and thinks about future as he's considering retirement. it's tough to be far from his family and his ranking is really now. He will play in europe after US Open Metz, Rennes. So he could retire at the end of the year
