Re: Masters Cup Shanghai
Well it's not how I wanted to see Nalbo play Shanghai, I wanted him to qualify and earn it for himself.
However he's gonna play, and good luck Nalbo.
Just like last time, he's in the toughest group.
Realistically he has to beat Coria and Ljubicic to make the semis, although nobody knows how Fed will play.

Re: Masters Cup Shanghai
Ok, I just saw an interview with David in the airport before leaving to Shanghai. He said he was very happy to be playing the Masters, and that he had to changed his lugagge, he had all the things packed to go fishing and had to change it to tennis things. He started training in the last minute because he was already thinking on vacations, but he said that playing the Masters Cup is the best thing ever.

Re: Masters Cup Shanghai
Yeah, he went in the same plane as Mariano and Gastón. Apparently, the ATP called David telling him that he should go to Shanghai because at least, one more player, was gonna withdraw and they wanted him there to play. So he got on the plane, without knowing that Andy had already withdrawn.

so when he was taking that interview, he still didn't know Andy withdraw and he was still happy just as an alternate?

Re: Masters Cup Shanghai
Thanks for the news Jazz.
I'm glad to know he's motivated to play there...but his group, I dunno..
it's very complicated.
Anyway...Good luck David!!

Re: Masters Cup Shanghai
I had this hunch for weeks - that he wouldn't qualify but that enough people would pull out so that he would be in Shanghai anyway... But now that this became true I'm really amazed...
BEST OF LUCK DAVID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
