I know it is early, but I started a thread about Indian Wells right after the loss to Nadal in Dubai to get the bad taste in my mouth and Roger wnet on to win both IW and Miami. Here's to him winning his first title in Rome.

Thanks and frankly I think moving on would be the best thing for us, Roger included
I also liked your great post in the MC thread, but you being one of the most perceptive and sensible poosters on this board is old news

Here are some thoughts:

*I choose to focus from now on on Roger's performances only, I'm not going to care one bit about how Rafa does and as long as Roger plays great like he's done so far and does the best he can I have no complains.
I think we should all adopt this conception, arguing with Nadal's fans or Roger's HATAs will hardly get us anywhere, let's focus on Roger, enjoy his wins and accept his defeats if and when they come.

*I wouldn't be surprised if Roger lost early in Rome (I'm not saying he necessarily will), the reality of being one of the 2 top dogs on clay is new to him, I'm not sure he can regularly beat everyone up week in week out like he does on HC just yet.
As long as he finds top-gear at the right time (RG that is, preferably deep in the tournament) I'm fine with that

*The reality is that Nadal right now is as brilliant a claycourter as anyone has been on the dirt, make it 95 Muster or 2000/1 Guga (I feel sick mentioning him with the other two, that's a guy I could watch all day on the dirt).
When there's such a superb clay player around winning RG turn to almost Mission Impossible.
I do think, however, that Roger is at least as good on the dirt right now as other former RG champs like Moya and Agassi, and hopefully down the road awaits one RG title to show for it.

Great week everyone

Great points Rogiman. I must say, your calm demeanor in the MC thread during the final was nice to see.

one more thing i have learned is that gloating has no meaning, if there is no audience.

So just let the hatas enjoy themselves. No need to enhance their fun

Funny thing is that most of the gloaters are not Nadal fans per se. They all just wanted to see Fed lose. A true sign of greatness.

Yeah, all those Duckfans seem to find some mental peace in Fed's losses to Nadal

That reminds me of an ugly kid jerking off while watching his friend fuck...

You guys have made some valid points.
I agree.........

I shall continue to enjoy Roger's beautiful game as long as it lasts~~~and hopefully it will be around for a long time.
I will let the other stuff blow away with the wind.

Great Idea Nytennisfan Plus, when Roger wins RG, it'll make it even sweeter.......

The Roddick fans really shocked me today........they surpassed Nadal fans in their laughter and joy over Roger's loss

I agree, as though they hold Fed responsible for Roddick's poor form.

I think it is ok if he loses early in Rome because he always has Hamburg for some comfort tennis though he would benefit from the extra points as well as more time on clay.

I would love for him to go deep in RG though so that no one has any doubt about his prowess on clay.

I don't know if I can still follow another sb for another Rogi/Nadal match (if there's any in near future) but I will still cheer for Rogi obviously.

NYC, you're right, we ask for too much from Rogi at times. He's only still just a human. In fact, he had way surpassed all my expectations ever on him these past few years and I should be thankful for that.

Now Rogi, just keep going.

Are you actually really shocked by that? Not me.

and it's always the same few. I don't have to read those threads I know exactly which of them and what sort of comments they will put up there

Apparently, I'm the only one that was shocked by this "sense of humor" coming from a couple Andy fans................

When does Rome starts? He got into the final in 02. Also as a side note, Federer has made to the final of all the three master series on clay. WOW !!
