Wilma, I am trying to learn French as well. I've no problem reading it at tall, but when it comes time to speak it....I'm the Queen of the One Word Sentence!

I learned tons while in Paris (conversational and utilitarian French,) but still don't know how to conjugate verbs in tu form...I need to enroll in a class.....or better yet, move to France.

So for now I speak English and Spanish And given my player preferences, the Spanish is coming in very handy! (Sorry, Nono)

Sébastien, tu rencontres demain André Agassi au tournoi exhibition de Kooyong. Quand es-tu arrivé en Australie ?

Nous sommes arrivés samedi soir. J’ai tapé la balle hier assez tranquillement et un petit peu aujourd’hui. Là, il est 22h15 (12h15 en France). Nous sortons du restaurant et nous prenons la direction de l’hôtel. Mon match contre Agassi est programmé demain, vers 14h. C’est bien, je suis assuré de disputer trois rencontres dans la semaine.

Comment te sens-tu après le tournoi de Doha ?

Ça va mieux qu’il y a quelques jours. En descendant de l’avion, j’avais mal en bas du dos. A Doha, après avoir joué trois sets contre Ljubicic, j’ai enchaîné par un match de double avec Nicolas (Escudé) et nous avons disputé trois nouveaux sets. A la fin de la journée, la douleur est apparue. L’avion n’a rien arrangé mais aujourd’hui, ça va mieux. Je suis quand même passé tout à l’heure entre les mains du kiné.

Quel bilan tires-tu du tournoi de Doha ?

Même si j’ai perdu contre Ljubicic, je trouve que j’ai fait un match correct pour mon premier tournée de l’année. De son côté, Ljubicic a déclaré en conférence de presse qu’il venait de réaliser le meilleur match de sa carrière. Il a super bien servi. J’aurais souhaité aller plus loin mais l’ensemble, c’est satisfaisant. Et puis petit à petit, je commence à avoir de meilleurs sensations. Avec les trois matchs à disputer ici, je pense que ça sera suffisant pour arriver fin prêt à l’Open d’Australie.

Peux-tu nous présenter ce tournoi exhibition ?

Il y a huit engagés : André Agassi, Roger Federer, Andy Roddick, David Nalbandian, Taylor Dent, Robby Ginepri, Thomas Johansson et moi. Tout le monde va faire trois matchs. Les vainqueurs avancent dans le tableau tandis que les perdants jouent pour la 5eme, 6eme, 7eme et 8eme place. Les conditions sont complètement différentes de Doha. Les balles sont plus petites, elles volent plus. Mais ça va, ce n’est pas trop mal. Je sens que mon jeu se met en place.

Débuter contre André Agassi, ce n’est vraiment pas un cadeau…

C’est du costaud mais c’est bien, ça va me permettre de me situer un peu. En plus, il joue tout le temps super bien en début de saison. Ça va être un très bon test.
