That Spaniard was Felix Mantilla btw.

Sadhbh, are you an Isle of Man fan?

I live in the Isle of Man, hence the flag. We don't have many tennis players, but we do have good cyclists.

During the French Open in 2000, when he played tremendously well to reach the semis, and his match against Guga was just brilliant. He appeared to be on the brink of victory and reaching the final, and I was absolutely gutted that he was narrowly edged out, but I've supported him ever since his great run during that fortnight.

I became a fan when he won Roland Garros 2003.

It was also around that period when I became a fan of tennis.

HI Everyone Im a new ferrero fan-i had liked his game for quite a while now since 2003 and it may seem strange to all of you that i suddenly like him a lot all of a sudden!!-i feel i had probably overlooked his style of play a little and since i was relatively young back then-I did not fully appreciate his solid gameplay-in particular the "oh so sweet"forehand.Well back then i was purely a hard court fan and enjoyed players like Paradorn Srichaphan.Men's Singles has changed a lot these days and while there is a lot of talent on display-JuanQui has the overall skills-which many do not have. His serve is good,as well as volleys and court coverage.I saw some of his old videos and have started to really miss those forehands-He seemed to be a "EuroAgassi" with a little bit of federer-Ferrero is classy sort of guy.

Anyway this is my introduction albeit in a strange manner.

Hi Reaz, welcome here.

And nobody cares how or why you became a fan, just provided you are one now its all that matters But it's still an interesting story.
