Re: Best 5 Set Records
Anybody know Guga Kuerten's 5-set record??
* He must have a fairly good record considering all his great wins at FO alone; also yesterday he came through 7-5 in the 5th set. Earlier this year he won another 5-setter at AO... So if someone could provide me with his stats I'd appreciate it*@@*

Players Win/Loss Percentage
Escude 10/3 76.92
The Poo 15-6 71.42
Koubek 7/3 70.00
N Lapentti 22/10 68.75
El Ayanoui 11-5 68.75
W.Ferreira 26-12 68.42
Safin 15-7 68.18
Corretja 14-7 66.66
Bjorkman 21-11 65.63
Kafelnikov 20-11 64.51
Ivanisevic 25-11 64.1
Hewitt 13-8 61.9
Rios 12-8 60
Hrbaty 9-6 60
Honourable mentions to Mantilla who is 7-2 and has the best percentage of 77.7 and Nalbandian who is 6-2 at 75 per cent.
If there are any other current players that I have missed out, post away but they must have played at least 10 5 setters and have 60 % or better winning ratio.

Re: Best 5 Set Records
doesn't Al Costa have a good five set record? I'd imagine he does with his fitness level

If you read the criteria at the start of the thread, then you will see who is there and who is not, he does not have a 60 per cent or over in 5 sets, and that is why he is not there.

Re: Best 5 Set Records
Fabrice Santoro is 17-9. As he showed this week he really gives it his all in 5th sets and has a great record in them. Unfortunately quite often he ends up with little left and goes out very quietly the following round. This years Roland Garros was the 3rd time in his career he`s had back to back 5 set wins but all three were followed by a straight sets loss. Out of his 16 grand slam five set wins he lost in the next round 11 times.

Re: Best 5 Set Records
yes, that a good contribution, Chris
Santoro's improved 5 set record after this week should match George's criteria to include him on this list now

Re: Best 5 Set Records
no exactly, CmonAussie.... Hewitt is 14-8 (63,3%) since today's win over Verkerk (and not 14-7)
