Re: ~°~Nicolas Devilder~°~
lol looks like the wild card will be given to another frenchie, since nicolas has made it to the main draw on his own. my theory about the generosity of the FFT towards other nationalities must be misplaced! lol

Re: ~°~Nicolas Devilder~°~
Well, hope they’ll find a worthy successor for Nico’s WC.
By the way, there was a 10 min interview with Nicolas last week on French " Radio Tennis". Quite a big event, no? He talks about this season which is, as he says, the first one when he has real chances to get directly into the main draws of big tournaments. He considers his victory over Ferrero as his most beautiful one in the beginning of the year. As for his coaches, he tells he works a lot there with Team Lagardere, he’s learnt a lot of tactical features from them and still has enough things to improve. About RG he says it’s just another tournament but yes, it’s very special in France and sure very important for him as well as for any French player. His main aim of the season is to consolidate his positions in the Top 100 and to get into the main draws of other Grand Slams. In the end Nicolas was asked to describe Marcelo Rios and he says not that Marcelo is such a huge idol for him but he was really impressed with his game. But I haven’t heard it all properly so that’s in very short, only those things I remember right now. And with my poor French a half can be wrong, e.g. maybe in fact he’s going to break into the Top 10 and win a couple of nice trophies

Re: ~°~Nicolas Devilder~°~
Thanks!
Did he really play a "not good" match? Any signs of his wrist injury?

Re: ~°~Nicolas Devilder~°~
Sorry once again that I didn't take more pictures for you
For the match, I saw really no signs of his injury. I wasn't looking too closely, but he seemed to be playing 'injury-free'.
He didn't play that well during the first set, buthe really fought back in the 2nd. I think he was down a break and then broke back when Ascione was serving for the match. Ascione seemed to really punish him with his backhand, mainly hitting clean winners that Nicolas couldn't get too.
If anything else comes back to me, I'll let you know.

Re: ~°~Nicolas Devilder~°~
Thank you once again When it comes to Nicolas any information is highly appreciated Especially great to hear about "injury-free".
Nicolas beat Mahut today in New Haven qualies A few more wins before US Open would be really good!

Re: ~°~Nicolas Devilder~°~
I saw Nicolas today at the US Open qualies. He was watching Olivier Patience's match with Thierry Ascione for a few moments. Then I saw him later watching Ascione's match with Edouard Roger-Vasselin and Olivier Patience. I tried to get a photo of him with the guys during the Ascione match, but its pretty bad.
He's in the white with his arm in the air explaining something. He left soon after because it started to rain.
If I got to the qualies tomorrow, which I plan too, I'll try to get better photos of him if I see him watching someone's match
