You're right, plum_juice, that Ferrero is an excellent hard court player. I certainly think he is capable of beating Roddick on hard court, but I would still give the edge to Andy. It is hard to go by their one and only match --- the next one could be different! --- but judging by their USO encounter, if Roddick is serving well there is little JC can do about it. (This type of situation happened with Pete and Andre all the time).
Roddick still hasn't learned to play really well on clay yet, though, and JC is the best there is on that surface. So obviously JC is the favorite in that situation!
