on Clarin

sorry, but i a, happy for Marat even i love Gaudio!

Good to hear the crowd were laughing and that's something.

Some good match practice for Gaston, now time to lift the game at the first of the big tournaments coming up, got outplayed and no shame in that.

I've been surprised too Claudia. WTA was scheduled instead but a good tip at the right moment helped me not miss that match.

Well, 6/4 6/4 for Marat. What can be said except that Marat was too good today, that Gaston gave points when he shouldn't, that he didn't convert his opportunities. It wasn't a bad match, but it wasn't enough against Marat. Yes, our guy was talkative, expressed his frustration the way we are used to see him. He even made me laugh when, after a footfault, he asked the lineswoman which foot it was!!

Marat varied the effects a lot and Gaston even seemed to have trouble returning 2nd serves. In the 1st set, he was far behind the baseline. He just couldn't do much placed there. In the 2nd set, he was more aggressive, coming into the court, which explains why Marat broke but late in the set.
Anyway, I think it was a great Marat today and he is my fave for the final now.

Marat was the best on court today. Gaston, sadly is now a shadow of what he used to (and still can) be.

Move on Gaudio, and please find your game. We miss it, and I bet you do too.

I didn't know the damned match was on Eurosport though I've been a bit too busy to watch this afternoon anyway. Bad Luck Gastón - better luck in MC.

I know! I even laughed at my TV when I saw them and not the girls. I don't know why they showed this match, because aparently this was the only one from Valencia that they did. No semis, no final.

But was great to see it anyway.

Thanks for the report Choupi and now he can prepare for Monte Carlo, there is still time or him to find his game, but the steps needed to be taken now.

Of course, he still has time.

But something has to change, maybe in his head. Gaston is lacking confidence I think. This time last year he had two titles, and was playing good. I don't know, but something he has to do. Because if Gaston can't do well during the clay season, then where will he do?

Or maybe he is just not in the mood, I dunno. Argentines are so complicated.

I hope he can do well in Monte Carlo.
