Based on the amount of Chilean fans I saw at Massu's first round match in Indian Wells, there might be more (and more LOUDER) Chilean fans at the tie than Americans, and that's disconcerting

Yes, the Chilean fans will definately be loud! I saw them in Germany (WTC) two years ago and they were great fun! With them and the Netheads cheering for the US, it should be a fabulous atmosphere.
But you're right. Of course a team like Chile shouldn't be taken lightly. Even though grass wouldn't be their first choice, they're still really good players.

That's right! I saw Chilean fans, when our team played against Chile in DC. There were not many of them, but they were almost louder than all our crowd! I know, Russians are not the best supprters in the world , but it impressed me very much!

Re: USA vs. Chile, April 7-9
Well the US supporters aren't the best in the world either unfortunately. There were maybe somewhere around 30-50 Romanian supporters and sometimes I thought they were louder than all the thousands of US Supporters at the last tie

Well, Tiffany and I are going to Mission Hills too, so we'll be there to help get the USA crowd going! The Bryan's Bunch and the Netheads work pretty well together to get the crowd going...can't be outcheered in the USA! lol Deb, you should look for us...would love to meet you. We'll be in green on Saturday, easy to spot!

Re: USA vs. Chile, April 7-9
No offense to those living in California, but I think it's the West Coast...we went to DC in Charleston and Delray Beach and both places were unbelievable! The crowd was loud and really into the matches. Connecticut wasn't as good, but decent. Carson was terrible, La Jolla was better...so it will be interesting to see how Mission Hills is.
The USA will definitely need the crowd support against such a tough opponent. Chile has a great team and could definitely do some damage, even on grass. Bob and Mike won't underestimate Gonzalez/Massu...they'll come out ready to roll. It's gonna be a tough tie and a tough match for Bob and Mike, but I have the confidence! They're gonna do their job and I think the USA will pull through.

Re: USA vs. Chile, April 7-9
I think the smaller stadium helped, Carson WAS terrible. La Jolla was better you're right, but the few Romanian fans seemed louder than us sometimes and that was angering. Ah well, we'll see. I think US fans in general just aren't as loud and well, obnoxious?
Anyway we'll have to exchange phone #s or something before so we can be sure to meet up

|
Yep, it's been a long time... I think I'm getting tickets as soon as the draw is out only cos you have to get tickets for either court 1 or 2 That's what I did last year and the year before and it worked well. Will you be there for the whole week? I planned, but now I'm leaving for the US on 26 May (my sister and I couldn't find any other date apart from something like a Christmas shopping trip ... I'll also miss out the Halle tournament ). Will only be at the WTC the first weekend cos I get off work three weeks afterwards already. I might be there on the 25th cos that's a bank holiday. However, our flight leaves at 7 the next morning so I don't think I'll stay there that long. If all of you girls are there I just have to go though!

Yes have fun all of you that get to go there And get that crowd fired up because I saw the last tie on TV and I thought everyone was sitting on their hands with their mouths' taped closed I thought our players got better support last year in Belgium Good Luck to
the Bryans, James, and Andy
