I must spread some reputation before giving it to Jez again. Well, imagine drawing Henman in R2 (R1 for Andy). That would be called "the grandma duel"

Don't do that...he'll sneeze out what few brains he has left

C'mon Andy, you won't let this happen, will you?

"I keep thinking someone is going to wake me up," he [Blake] said. "It amazed me I've gotten this far. Hopefully I'll keep wondering what the next level is. Now, I just need to break that 0 and 8 record against Andy."

Good luck Andy! Maybe you can take heart that your nemesis got beaten on hard court and in the finals and your buddy was able to win against his nemesis. Get out of your funk man!

Hopefully he does.

Oh wait this is the AR Forum, my bad.

Seriously though, Andy needs to step his shit up quick, he's got semifinal points to defend and the gap between him and the guys below him isn't much. At least defend your points Andy!

I think James will have a really good chance at beating Andy if he doesn't go back to his old ways..

Considering the level he was playing yesterday against Lleyon, yes he can beat Andy.
James has figured out how to return Karlovic's serve, it won't take long to block Andy's serve.

Andy, you will go down if you don't change your ways. Please do something about it...

So if no one were to play next wee, this is how the rankings would look.

It's a dire situation for Andy.

Not so dire, Andy will still be number 4 in the world with points at Miami he could pickup. He could lose alot of points this week if he doesn't make the semis but, lets also remember he went out so early at Miami last year he could pick those points back up or even be better off depending on how far he makes it at IW. I honestly don't see Andy making it past 2nd or 3rd round the way he's playing. Andy needs to re-group big time and suprise everyone because he isn't beating the people he supposed to anymore, so how can he win the toss-ups or beat the players above him?

Andy could very easily go lower than 4th though. That's just what would happen if NO ONE played this week. Davydenko and Ljubicic aren't that far behind him, he could easily be out of the top 5 after IW.

When you guys say "dire" I'm thinking of Andy dropping out of the Top Ten. Dropping to No. 5 isn't so bad in comparison but still....

It's true but who cares, I would rather see his ranking drop for awhile until he finds his confidence. If he just floats around gets wins and goes deep in tournys because his ranking is high and he doesn't face anyone good until late, that's just as bad. He needs to start winning the big events and playing like a top guy who can beat chumps and beat the top guys every now and then. If he doesn't start playing like a top guy, I don't wanna see him.
