The last 3 times Sri Lanka have played Australia at the SCG, Sri Lanka have won and in the process, Jayasuriya has posted a century each of the 3 times. That happened in game 5.
Sri Lanka love this ground and they treat it like home. If they bat first, they will win. They have the spinners to bowl Australia out on this wicket at night. And it's always hard chasing high scores at the SCG under lights.
I'm not playing the win yet - it will go down to who wins the toss. If Sri Lanka win the toss and bat, I'll put an in-play bet on them to win. But having Sri Lanka at that price is a risk for the bookies.
The only bets I'm playing are:
Sri Lankan High Bat
Sanath Jayasuriya @ $5.00
Marvan Attapatu to score more runs than Simon Katich @ $2.05
For some strange reason im agreeing with Bolar, its gonna be a tough game for Aussies n like Bolar said who ever bats first i feel will win this match aswell, especially when the spinners are getting on top!!!!Enjoy the game
Batting first on Tuesday will be a must for them. Although, if they bowl first, Vaas and the other fast bowlers can get something out of the pitch, but it won't leave much for the spinners. And if they bowl first, they won't have to face the fresh Aussie bowlers on that wicket in the afternoon.
However, if they watch the performance from Friday night, they'll be confident!
They'll treat Tuesday's match the way they went into Friday's. Knowing their underdogs and no-one expecting them to win and going out there and having fun. Whether they win or lose, they won't give a crap. They've surprised themselves and the Australian public and the world how well they have played this tournament considering their lead up form which I must say was very very poor.
They'll go out of this tour on high confidence even if they're flogged on Tuesday.
Australia should win on Tuesday - but by how much and how convincing, that's up to the Sri Lankan's attitude.
