I thought they determined who was the champ and runner up of each group by wins and sets. I don't get it????

Re: friday scores
Andre better take the crap out of him
Shittler ending #6 would be bad enough but at #4

Re: friday scores
Yeah, rules are h2h first (although the way they did the doubles was interesting, finding a little rule that they apparently hadn't published!), and then sets, then games percentage.
So actually, Roger and Rainer already had won their groups before any of the third round robin matches were played.

Re: friday scores
Looks like my theory about alternate performances is still going strong.
Ferrero - bad, good, bad
Nalbandian - good, bad, good
Moya - good, bad, good
Schüttler - bad, good, bad
And the exceptions continue to be Federer and Agassi who are the only consistent players in the tournament.
I suppose we should expect Roddick to perform well and Coria badly. Not that I desperately want that to happen. In fact, it's about time someone disprooves my theory. Go Guillermo!!!

 Rainer!!
OK, I have a pretty good feeling that Rainer just didn't want to put forth the effort for a 3 setter but I'm still pissed!! I really didn't want to see Carlos go 0-3 (although it would've been awesome for Roger and Rainer to be the undefeated ones ) but did Rainer have to make it so obvious that he was handing it to Carlos in the second??
Carlos played better than he really had to in that second set but I'm glad that he showed that cared about getting at least one win .
Wish I could say the same about Juan Carlos. He didn't look like he had anything left to give .
Can't wait for tonight!! Keeping my thoughts to myself for now

Re: friday scores
ooooooooo i think this could be a good one.....place in semis at stake for both players and not a dead rubber.......roddicks tie break record hasnt been so hot lately so the key for coria is being patient and taking care of his own serve.

Re: friday scores
I'm just sick of these ugly matches with all kinds of errors or one-sided matches.
Is it me or the only matches that have been really good are the Agassi matches? LOL

Re: friday scores
Your right bunk, hate to say it but the agassi matches have been the quality matches, point for point and incredible shots hit under pressure, the man just walks on greatness and i think he brings out best in opponents LOL

Re: friday scores
Yea... the Federer match was just incredible, it was the only match Ferrero showed any of himself in, and it was the only close match Nalby was in too. Whether Andre himself had anything to do with it or it was just the way it happened, those matches were the only three this whole week that I personally enjoyed watching for the quality of the tennis.
Maybe tonight's will be good, but I'm not placing any bets on that lol

Re: friday scores
I have to agree as well. All 3 Agassi matches have been high on quality and drama. I enjoyed them very much.
