Re: Re: Tuesday Scores
Ah, a German supporter of Schuettler - haven't seen any around recently. But let me guess, GoDom: if it was Kiefer playing this match, you'd be 100% behind the whiny brat, right?

ROGER FEDERER: Yeah, I remember this one time when I went on a vacation on the Maldives. That was in the year 2001, I think. I went to this spa. I went to walk around with my girlfriend. I walk in, and we want to book a spa. This guy goes, "AHH, I remember you. You beat Sampras. I saw you on TV." That was like, really, how can you remember me? This guy has probably never been off his island and still knows me. I was a little bit shocked. Then I went to play tennis with him because he was actually the tennis teacher. It was nice.
Q. Were you naked at the time in the spa?
ROGER FEDERER: No. It was at the front desk. I didn't walk in naked.

First of all, I'm not a Schüttler-fan but he's playing Coria so I root for him.
Second, yes his game can be quite boring. But at least he's not an arrogant ass like Kiefer and (often enough) Haas. He's working hard and it pays off. What he's talking makes sense most of the time. He seems to be a nice, down-to-earth guy. That's all.
Sjengster: yes, 100%.
But the thought of Kiefer making the Masters

Re: Tuesday Scores
how did you expect Kiefer to act when after all Agassi is his dad, they share the same genes, and walk.

Re: Re: Re: Re: Tuesday Scores
Didn't Wertheim or some other journalist observe that if you asked someone in German tennis six years ago who would be the first to reach a GS final out of Haas, Kiefer and Schuettler, he'd have given the wrong answer? That's what you've got to like about Schuettler, he has far less game but far superior mental toughness compared to his compatriots. He also has a winning record against both Haas and Kiefer, which ain't bad at all.

Re: Re: Tuesday Scores
Coria seems to have got over that breathing problem quickly, doesn't he? A fast service game, that last one.

What's Bill doing differently from the 1st set?
Was all that huffing-puffing a guile?

LMAO. At the beginning of his career he was a perfect copy of Andre. Today they only share extreme superstition, but game-wise ...

Re: Tuesday Scores
To be fair, I think Rainer's game went down a bit as well as Gui stepping up and hitting his shots. He's managed to do that nice thing of whipping the ball from corner to corner better this set.
He did just whak a short ball into the net tho.
