Love the idea for this thread. Next time start @beg. of tournament. Let's just say, it's appropriate that we've adopted her 
I second Fedex's remarks. Wonderful to see her maturity in addition to her tennis.
Poor Orphan Martina - no one wanted to play doubles w/her. So, Bhupati teamed up w/her & they WON  (Did anyone get to see the match?) |

I'm so happy to see martina play again on court... and we could see that she can win with more practise the best woman player like Cljesters or Morismo... well come back Miss Martina i wish she could be in the top 15 soon, maybe the end of the year... who knows

Well she is not my fav. I still can't get my head round these nasty words when she said the "half men" comment on Amelie 7 years ago.  However, I'm welcome Hingis back into the game. There are too many "power only" players in the women's game apart from Justine and Amelie who are still very much finesse players most of the top players in the women's game are power base. So I think someone like Martina will defiinately help the quality of women's game.
As well as interesting comments. 
Anyway, what a day for Swiss tennis.
Shame on British tennis.  |
