Re: Main Draw discussion in here
Roddick has a hard draw!
After he faces the qualifier, he'll probably face Moodie, Dent and Ginepri!!!

Re: Main Draw discussion in here
I'm soooo happy for both my guys!!! Qualifiers in the first round for Nico and Gonzo!
Second round a bit tougher, but one step at a time.

Re: Main Draw discussion in here
If Murray gets through tricky Chela in Rnd 1 he has Hewitt in Rnd 2. If somehow Heitt pules out or he does get through that match the draw is wide open upto Coria in 1/4 finals.

Re: Main Draw discussion in here
Too bad AO didn't pull what Wimbledon did, and seed Hewitt ahead of Roddick. Probably more justified than putting Roddick ahead of Hewitt there, and would have evened the score. Of course, Hewitt draws Federer's side both times. I don't even particularly care for Lleyton, but it only seems fair that he be on the opposite side, particularly with all the withdrawals.

Re: Main Draw discussion in here
is there a rule that Kevin Kim draws a qualifier in every tourney?
I bet half his 1st rounders last year were, & gets one in the AO - that's one way to keep your ranking up!

Re: Main Draw discussion in here
1st round matchups, bad luck for players, great for fans!
gasquet/haas
paradorn/kiefer
grosjean/poo
henman/tursonov
malisse/youzhny
ginepri/melzer
dick norman/qualifier
lol, proof there's no justice - these guys draw each other while norman gets a qualifier

Uh.. do your research before spouting off. Wimbledon's seeding uses a published formula, it wasn't subjective, they didn't just decide to move people around out of 'fairness' or whatever.

Re: Main Draw discussion in here
Formula.....really? First I've heard of that. Any idea where it's published, and why does it only seem to apply to a small handful of players?
I was under the impression that they typically take select players who have had past success on grass and move them up subjectively. Recently guys like Roddick, Grosjean, Henman, and maybe even Tommy J.
