Re: Official Alex Bogomolov Cheering Thread
All I have to say is WOW. Bogie beating Gonzo in a 5 set thriller 7-5 in the 3rd. The match was all over the place. I'm soooo Happy for Alex.
Next up is Mathieu they haven't played and I hope Alex has something left in the tank for that one.

LOL Sue!
I think I said "Whoa" Out loud when I saw the score. One of Alex's best wins I would think?

Re: Official Alex Bogomolov Cheering Thread
I want to know what happened during this match! It sounds like there was an "incident" and almost a fistfight between the two of them

Well I wish I had been there. This has happened with Gonzalez before btw- I used to follow him for about 2 years so I remember Mario Zabaleta and Gaudio both getting mad in Vina Del Mar during that tournie in 2004 and 2005 respectively. Gonzo gets pumped up no big deal but the partisan crowd got behind their player. Again expected. From what I can gather here, the chileno crowd was very vocal and so the nonpartisan crowd got behind Bogie. And the match was so tight that the stress must have gotten to both of them. No biggie but this is an excellent win for him. Good luck in the next round. I would think that this win over a seed would give him great confidence even though it took 5 sets. If I read anything official or if anyone else does would you post? Curious that's all.

Re: Official Alex Bogomolov Cheering Thread
ESPN just showed highlights from the match and it looked great! Gonzo goes right at Alex with a fh and hits him. Then they showed Bogie letting one of Gonzo's balls hit him while saying "Come on" or something like that. The ump had to get between both of them during a change over telling Gonzo to calm down. At match point Alex puts his hand to his ear wanting the crowd to cheer louder.
It looked like a great match to watch. Both boys puffing out their chest.Someone out there must have recorded it(Needs to see this match)

Re: Official Alex Bogomolov Cheering Thread
I'm hoping that I can get a hold of this match. There was this website based in England that sells the matches but I haven't bought from her in so long that I don't know if she's still doing it.

Keep in mind that ESPN sliced and diced this 2 minute package their way so who knows what else Gonzales did to provoke Alex. Like you, I hope that this complete match exists somewhere.

Re: Official Alex Bogomolov Cheering Thread
I left during the middle of the fifth... Alex did well to come back. The chilean fans were being asswipes, and there were very few of us there to cheer him on. Will have to get christina to write a report about the end of the match when the feistyness began GO ALEX!!!! WOooooo!!!!! But he's playing someone I like next, I think... Mathieu. He's grown on me...but Alex is a softy off court sooo.....

Re: Official Alex Bogomolov Cheering Thread
Ticked me off that Getty had absolutely NO photos from his match against Gonzo. Hell, there was hardly anything anywhere . Tennis.info only has photos from his match against Iwabuchi
