Who will be no.1 when GER and ARG have 2-1 wins? The winner of the GER/ARG game or the team, which has won more matches?
I also wanted to know that and looked up on Hopman Cup page about past results. And at the end of http://www.hopmancup.com.au/default....d=311&comp=xvi you see that Australia and Slovak Republic both have 2-1 wins, Australia having 7-2 matches and Slovak Republic 4-5. Slovak Republic won the h2h against Australia, but they are only 2nd. That would mean that matches won/lost count as a decider and that winning 3-0 or 2-1 can make a big difference of two matches at the end.

Gisela lost to Krajicek, as expected as Gisela didn't play well at all last year at Hopman Cup. Maybe she is not a type of player who can play in full gear in her first few matches.
From NED vs ARG matches, I would expect Germany to beat those two teams, hopefully 3-0 against ARG and 2-1 against NED.

I forgot to mention that in his single match against Wayne, Kiwi once hit the net umpire with his forehand and once he hit a bottle of wine belonged to the spectator He was in high spirit and pretty wild

But Kiwi won his single match with convincing scorelines
I didn't see the match as I have to work in the morning.
ALG only won 1 game
It's hard for GER to be in the final now. Hopefully they can beat NED and AUS can beat ARG tomorrow. Even so, the win percentage (per sets and games) might still be in favour of NED because ALG lost very badly today
Unless GER can beat NED 3-0 tomorrow, the final chance is very slim And with ALG's performance at the moment, I doubt she can beat Krajicek tomorrow.

It's incredible how Grönefeld lost her singles. I can't believe Dulko played so good, too bad ALG wasn't 100% It would have been a big chance for Germany.
At least Kiwi won his match, so another clear win should give him confidence.

I think the only scenario for Germany to advance now is that they need a 3-0 win over the Netherlands and at the same time Argentina not winning 3-0 against Australia.

I think if both win 3-0, Argentina only has to lose one set more than our team. But of course, it will be difficult enough to win 3-0 with only one player in the team.
