Who's the guy with David?
During the Shanghai Final, they mentioned this guy as David's coach. I was wondering if anyone knows his name?Or anything?
Thanks

Re: Who's the guy with David?
Carlos Costa was acting as "coach" for David during the Shanghai tournament. In actuality, he is David's agent.

Re: Who's the guy with David?
Actually, the guy that was constantly on tv during Shanghai, was Diego Rodriguez, his kinesiologist. His new coach is Mastelli, and they won't start working together till next week.

Yes, I was thinking about it...I knew that the guy who was constantly on TV, was not Carlos - didn't knew it was his kinesiologist, but now I do, thanks.

Re: Who's the guy with David?
He is Diego Rodriguez, David's fitness coach as I know or like Jazz said "kinesiologist" (i didn't know this word actually ). He always accompanied David when he was training in Shanghai, and gave him some advices. They discussed a lot before every match, seems David is working well with him.

Yep. On Aussie tv he was Diego Rodriguez, David's fitness coach. And im so happy David beat Roger cause it really shut Fred Stolle up who was comentating. He said that David did not deserve to be in the top 5 cause he couldnt match the top players. Ha Ha it was a great match and take that Freeeeeeeeeeeed.

Oh yes, I was happy about that!
He didn't really say he didn't deserve to be in the top 5 (since he wasn't at the time) but he said he didn't have the firepower to match it with the Roddicks, Hewitts, etc and didn't have what it takes to make it to the top 5. He called him a claycourter many times too. It was so funny seeing him having to compliment David in his last three matches, after the first Federer match and the Coria match. Every time the other commentator Geoff Masters brought up the first Federer match, Fred had to add in that Federer was playing at a very low level. (He was being so damn repetitive)
Yes, this is my first post here in this forum. I have been tempted to post here for a long while, especially since I have a long holiday at the moment. David is my favourite men's tennis player and has been since Kooyong in 2004. We don't get much tennis shown on TV here in Australia on free-to-air. It's funny that we got the Masters Cup on TV, while not getting to see any of the French Open and we only got the quarter finals onwards of the US Open. (Glad we did though) Anyway, since I stopped lurking, I guess I'll probably post more in the future.

Where are you from? Its nice to speak to some people from home. I am living in England right now finishing a year at University before I take my Articles and go work as a Lawyer. I am from Perth and let me tell you its so cold here I am really starting to missing the surf and the sun.

Re: Who's the guy with David?
I'm from Brisbane, where it's nice and sunny all year (almost). I'm also in university at the moment. I've just finished first year and I'm studying Information Technology. A couple of the first year core units that were compulsory sucked. I hardly had any motivation in doing the work the subjects I hated during the semester and did most of the work when preparing for the exam. I'm glad I get to do something more interesting next semester!
Good to see another Aussie David fan by the way.
