I think he'll drop sets along the way because he's short on matches in Melbourne. 2 years ago he won Kooyong at that time and was high on confidence. I'm already remembering his R1 match last year with Ferrer.

You have a point. But, I hope he'll get a rhythm going. It should be a good draw for him.

Re: Australian Open 2006
Assuming he gets past this qualie: he's never played Wawrinka, so an element of mystery is there. What about Montañes?

Re: Australian Open 2006
Saw Wawrinka play last week in Doha and he almost beat Haas, probably should've won that match. He's also in the Auckland Semis. He's obviously in good form and he'll be a tough opponent in R2 for Nalbo assuming they both get that far.

I'm worried about Wawrinca, even if he lost today, the kid's good!

Re: Australian Open 2006
Never mind: he's 2-0 against Montañes.

So am I. He's flashy, good serve and a great BH. Can strike winners of both wings at will sometimes.

Like Baghdatis? OK...then we're in trouble. I hope the Shanghai David shows up on court in that match.

I wish the Shanghai Nalbo showed up for every match.
Jazz has there been any news in Argentina about Nalbo's condition?

I've been trying to keep up with the news on his condition. All I get, is that he's to rest until Saturday, per doctor's orders. I get the feeling that this virus may or may not be serious. I'll keep you posted.

Re: Australian Open 2006
Thanks Jazz and Tiff.
I'm off to bed. I've got a long day ahead of me today/tomorrow depending on how you see it. Night Night.
