Re: Bryan Twins Forum Request
I don't get it either Andrew, and something like 46 different people have voiced their support in this thread... even if 1/3 or 1/2 of them participate in a forum, which I think they will, that will be a plenty active forum to be worth having one, and it will be more active than a lot of the forums that are already here.
We're not gonna give up!

Re: Bryan Twins Forum Request
Yeah, I noticed that. I saw some people have posted 2 or 3 times out of genuine shock that nothing has been done, months later. This is a mini Bryans thread in its own right, which must merit a forum alone!

Re: Bryan Twins Forum Request
The thing is also that they're starting to transcend the sport. They appeared all over new york city yesterday - they closed the stock market!!!!!!! and did many other things. There is lots to talk about regarding them and a forum for them would be active, even when they're not currently playing. I just don't get why we're getting ignored

Re: Bryan Twins Forum Request
I don't think there are any plans to add forums for doubles teams at this time.

Re: Bryan Twins Forum Request
may I ask why not?
like, is there a specific reason not to have one for a doubles team?

Re: Bryan Twins Forum Request
I don't understand why not - they're a team that are obviously functioning as if they are one player, they don't play mens doubles with anyone else and they're brothers so they're not going to change like other players do, and there's obviously enough interest.
No one posts in some of the player forums - even a couple of the USA player forums are almost completely inactive and are less active than the Bryans thread, I don't understand why we can't have a forum merely because of the technicality that they are two people and not one.
No offense to Jan-Mike but no one even really ASKED For a player forum for him and he has one - even though he is injured, barely plays and is ranked really low, and there's next to no activity in his forum.
I'm sorry but to me this logic fails in all respects.

Well, there comes a time for new things for anyone who is open to them. Just because there has never been a forum for a doubles team in the past is not really a valid reason to not have one now. The Bryans are now and always will be playing together. I can understand the logic of not making doubles forums for other pairings because none of them have a permanence that you can count on. Most people do tend to change partners which would result in multiple forums for some players if they wanted one with each new partner.... But the Bryans do not! So whatever logic originally decreed that doubles teams shouldn't get forums should certainly be reviewed in the case of this particular team.

I am also curious...exactly how many decisionmakers must we convince in order to get a new forum, and how many are currently opposed to the idea?

Re: Bryan Twins Forum Request
I also don't see why we can't have a forum for bob and mike bryan....I mean, they are pratically one person.
