How many titles will nadal defend in 2006?
As we all know, nadal was had an amazing year racking up 11 titles, including 4 shields and 1 slam.
in his follow up year, how many titles do you think he will defend? 0? surely not. 6/7?likely. or will he defend them all and add more titles?

I don't think he will play the small ones next year and so, he will not defend those. I fully expect him to play a schedule like Roge is, which include only 1 or 2 small ones which are somehow sentimentally favorites
I think he has good chance to defend roland garos, but I hope Roge can win Roland Garros next year

I believe that next year he will have a very different schedule so that many tournaments he won this year he may not play in them next year. He will probably defend some and win tournaments next year that he did not enter or lost in this year. He has a very good chance of winning the Australian Open and Miami which he did not this year, but will not play a lot of the clay court tournaments he played this year. Both courts are slow enough for him to win on the surface. He will not win Wimbledon or the US open - courts too fast for him.

He'll defend about 3 or 4 of his titles but he'll win a total of about 7 or 8 titles next year. He'll probably retain most of the big clay tournaments Monte-Carlo, Barcelona, Rome and Roland Garros. He'll also win maybe Miami and a couple of other hard/indoor titles. I think he could win the Australian Open too.

he will defend about 5-8. He won't play some of the small tournaments he played this year. His game will be better than it was this year, which is a scary thought. I think he will play less to avoid injuries.
