Alejo will play the South African qualifier Kevin Anderson in the 1st round of the Australian Open. Anderson is ranked at world no. 208, and is appearing in the main draw of a grand slam for the first time in his career. He won a challenger title at New Orleans last year.
This is a good draw from Alejo, as there were numerous more dangerous qualifiers that he could have been drawn against. Hopefully he will progress to the 2nd round.

Wow Falla won 5-7 7-5 6-7(8) 6-2 7-5. Anderson gave him a tougher match than expected, but thankfully he got the win. Alejo will play Garcia-Lopez, who surprisingly knocked out Chela in 4 sets.

Well done to Colombia for winning 3-2 away to Uruguay, and they will travel to Brazil in April for the 2nd round.
Falla won both of his matches in straight sets, including an impressive victory over the in-form Cuevas yesterday to level the score at 2-2, before Giraldo beat Felder to finish off the tie.

Falla is playing at Memphis this week. He will face Sela in the 1st round. They have only played each other once before, in the 2nd round of the Binghamton Challenger in 2005.
Good luck to Alejo here . He had some good results at indoor events during the end of last season, including reaching his first ever ATP semi-final at Lyon, and reaching the final of the Brastislava Challenger (which had a pretty strong field) not long after. He has shown that he can play well under a roof, and Sela shouldn't be underestimated, but that is definately a winnable 1st round match for him.
