Dan, if this is true, I am really really sorry for Rafa. That means he was not just bitching for the sake of bitching.
On the other hand, I am thrilled for Mariano. Vamos Argentina.

Can you imagine if Feds also decided to not continue due to injury
Then, you'd have Feds, Nadal, Safin, Duck, and Hewitt out
What kind of MC would you be left with

Bad luck on Nadal. He would not have won anyway so he's best going off home.

Apparently, it's because of his left ankle. Galaxystorm already mentionned a couple of times that his ankle gave him a lot of bother.

OUT! certainly *sounds* like a WTAworld type.
I like to stereotype.

How do you know he wouldn't have won. Nadal won Madrid indoors didn't he? Ho can you assume anything without Rafa actually playing. I feel really sorry for Nadal, I hope his injury, whatever it is, heels soon.
At the same time, I am very happy for Mariano that he gets to play, but this is tinged with sadness for my other hero-Rafa. Get well soon Rafa.
