Guillermo Coria and Nikolay Davydenko qualify for the Masters Cup in Shanghai on Thursday, leaving only one spot open in the season-ending showcase. Both made the elite eight-player field starting on 13 November when Australian Open champion Marat Safin pulled out due to a recurring knee injury.

The 2004 Roland Garros runner-up qualified for the year-end championships for the third time while the Russian will be playing it for the first time.

World number one Roger Federer, French Open champion Rafael Nadal, world No3 Andy Roddick, Australian Lleyton Hewitt and 35-year-old Andre Agassi are other qualifiers for the Masters Cup.

Croatia's Ivan Ljubicic and Sweden's Thomas Johansson are the leading contenders for the final spots.
