Re: Nicolas Mahut
Nico just qualified to Valencia, he beated Bolelli, 6-7(9),6-4 and 7-5 . There are some good places for qualifiers, as he could draw GGL on R1, and then Simon or Davydenko, neither of them in form, so that would be a good draw for Nico if it happens. The other spots for qualifiers are Isner, Ferrero and Anderson .
Today he did 8 aces, but got broken twice, twice on set 1. He converted 4/8 BP, which is not bad. He won 122 points, for Bolelli 121: . Anyway, Allez Nico for the MD, he needs to get back his top-100 status(he is now ranked #104). This win gave him 20 pts.

Very sad news. His 2 years old nephew suddenly died on sunday.
Of course, he won't play next round.
RIP

Re: Nicolas Mahut
He plays Paris qualies, no WC , he is in #86 actually on YTD rankings, and if he qualifies and gets to R2, he could end top-80 this season. But let's not look further than qualifying
His qualie draw:
(1) Bernard Tomic(AUS)- Nicolas Mahut(FRA)
(WC) Florent Serra- (8) Lukasz Kubot(POL)
Tomic is not at his top form, and so isn't Kubot, but Nico will be affected by the death of his nephew so
There are again spots on MD, the spots are: (SE) Kei Nishikori(JPN), Nikolay Davydenko(RUS), Juan Carlos Ferrero(SPA), Mikhail Youzhny(RUS), Juan Monaco(ARG) and Guillermo Garcia-López(SPA)

Re: Nicolas Mahut
Nico won, 7-6(4),6-2 , he led a break on set 1 but lost it , and then saved a BP at 5-5 . After that it was all great. It is also another top-50 win for Nico, as Tomic is #42 , he served great(10 aces), and won 28/35 points on 1st serve(80%). His return game was really on, as he broke Tomic three times , plays Kubot on FQR

Re: Nicolas Mahut
Nico at a great level here , he defeated Kubot 6-1,6-4 , Top-80 is reachable, Allez Nico! Let's hope he doesn't draw Kei, Juanqui or Monaco, as the three of them are in form .
Today, he had 6 aces, an awesome 23/24 of points won with 1st serve , and 13/15 with 2nd serve , so he didn't faced BP. He converted 3/8 BP, and won 65% points when Lukasz had 2nd serve. !Allez Nico!
