Re: Nicolas Mahut
Nico needs the points so much more, while Fabrice sounds like he's there for safari purposes mostly...
Their h2h:
2005 Orleans Challenger 32 Hard (I) N.MAHUT 6-3 2-6 6-3
2005 Grenoble Challenger 32 Hard (I) F.SANTORO 6-4 5-7 4-6

Re: Nicolas Mahut
I just read on Fabrice's French forum that he's going to stay in South Africa 2 weeks anyway (his daughter is there with him), so no chance he will tank, I guess.
Nico doesn't need a tank anyway.

Re: Nicolas Mahut
Don't start me on Santoro playing all those Challengers...
I see Nico entered the event of Ramat Hasharon in Israel after Rhodes, it's on hardcourt too.

Re: Nicolas Mahut
Thanks for all the updates.
Annoying he lost to Santoro, a lot to be said for him and these challenger events...
Keep up the progress Nico!

sets in Roland Garros, so I hope not to win the first two sets this time. (Smiling.)
Maybe the sky will fall?

Re: Nicolas Mahut
He lost in the 1st round of Rhodes to Elgin 3-6 6-4 6-4 - and I was having a good feeling about this tournament, my female intuition sucks as much as my guys lately.
Next try: Ramat Hasharon.

Re: Nicolas Mahut
Thanks for the article, was an interesting read. I like how he seemed to have his comeback up the rankings mapped out in small stages and I'm sure Grass season will really help him out again. Shame it's so short and is not good for points with no 500 point tournament. I hope RG will give him the wildcard. I like his views on French Tennis as well, agree that RG is the real judgement day for the players discussed.
So Nico won his 1st rounder 6-2 7-6 over Capdeville, comfortable start.

Re: Nicolas Mahut
No WC for RG main Draw. I know clay is not for him but as his ranking went down cos of an injury they could have give him one. Getting through the qualies will be hard.
Grass coming soon
