Saturday, January 12, 2013 - World No. 5 David Ferrer tied Roy Emerson’s record of four Auckland titles on Saturday, defeating second seed Philipp Kohlschreiber 7-6(5), 6-1 in the Heineken Open final. It's the second time Ferrer has won a tournament in three successive seasons, adding to his current run at the Abierto Mexicano Telcel in Acapulco (2010-2012).
