Great. Now it's up to Andy to listen. Even if Lendl tells him to stop screaming at himself. Even if Lendl tells him to completely change his gamestyle. Even if Lendl tells him to play the Sacramento challenger.

It's funny that this ended up being true way after people thought it was going to happen. I liked the idea then and still do...I hope something comes of it.

At the beginning of his career, Lendl was thought to be a choker and someone who lost his nerve in big matches. Some pundits wondered if he had the internal fortitude to win a GS. However, he learned to be mentally tougher, and became, arguably, one of the most mentally tough players. |
