Sport Panorama on SF1 today had a report of recent Michel... Seems like he is suffering of some kind sickness, but his health is getting better, it seems. He will start playing tennis soon (this Spring?), and he wants to belong to the top 100 tennis players again..

Thanks Steven Point. I saw the programme and was glad to finally get some news about poor Micha. He has been diagnosed a strange illness I have never heard of. He is allergic to some kind of wheat, he needs to eat special bread and isn't allowed to eat pizza anymore, poor him

He hasn't had much energy due to his illness, but now that he changed his eating habits he is doing much better. They said he will be able to play tennis again this week

. His gf was also shown, she seems to be very nice, very pretty and sweet. I am sure she takes good care of Micha.

So, hopefully Micha is able to play competition again soon!!! Good luck Micha!!!

Can somebody remember if this was the guy who went a few rounds into wimbledon without actually being able to serve at normal speed?
I think it happened in 2001 or 2002 but I can't really remember. Any help would be much appreciated.

Well, Michel did reach the fourth round in 2002, but I don't remember whether that was already the moment he had great problems with serving. I have seen footage of him though shortly before he took an injury time-out (that has lasted until now, by the way), and it was absolutely heartbreaking

The guy has no strength due to illness

I hope he comes back.

I know he's allergic to gluten and this has caused him much trouble over the last few years. However, he plans to be back next year, wich is great!!!
