He looks very thrilled to be signing autographs Nice run he has had in Moscow. He has a great chance to get to the final playing a player who basically unknown. His nemesis is out (Youzhny) so there is absoultely no reason for him to not win this tournament.
2nd set was with five breaks, three for Kiefer, two for Kunitsyn.
In the first set I tuned in a bit too late as the match already started, but I think Kiefer broke twice without losing serve to win this set.
It was quite solid from what I saw, Kunitsyn made enough errors. I'm not sure if this will be enough against Andreev. Especially one thing he could need against Andreev and which he didn't show in this match: backhand longline. Because I expect Andreev will play again 70% of the court with his forehand and if Kiwi can only play crosscourt on his backhand and not longline into the open court where Andreev is not standing, his game might get a bit too calculable.
But lets hope the best for tomorrow's final!

Woohooo!!!!!!! so glad he's in the final. An all- around solid performance. He picked up his game when he needed to Don't really know much bout Igor Andreev's game. Can anyone inform me? and/or tell me what Kiwi needs to do to win tomorrow to beat him?

I didn't watch how Andreev played this week, but normally Andreev plays huge and pressureful topspin forehands as much as possible from about three quarters of the court, 90% stuck to the basline normally. I expect a situation that we will often see tomorrow is going to be that Kiwi plays Andreev to his backhand side, Andreevs runs around and plays topspin forehand inside out to Kiwi's backhand. It can be difficult to get out of these situations and you can get easily caught in such rallies with Andreev commanding all the time, nailing you to your backhand side and then waiting for the ultimate winner against your direction or to your forehand (that's normally his favourie scheme, but not sure which concept he is following indoor). Therefore Kiwi backhand longline would be a very worthy shot to show Andreev that it can be costly for him if he leaves his forehand side too much neglected because he is normally positioned more to his backhand side, but Kiwi hardly plays that (I saw none good at all today).
