Pippo will have a rest today and tomorrow he plays his countryman Alessio di Mauro, who has had some good results in Futures this year. I don't think Filippo will have any problems dispatching him though.

Even with this result, Pippo's ranking should be around 100 again next week. A good performance in the next two weeks should solidify it for him. He almost definitely will make the MD for the US Open, so it's gonna be good to see him at a major again.

Sorry that was meant to say 110 not 100... anyway he plays Skugor at Umag which is starting in a minute. Been finalist here twice so fond memories. Can have a good performance here.

Indeed after the atrocious performance in Umag he seems back to good form by getting to the final here. Haase is a very difficult opponent, but a good week anyway.

Filippo lost 2-6 6-7(8), he had a set point on serve at 8-7. He was down 6-2 4-2 but came back and almost took the second set, but he had a good week regardless, and is back in the top 100!

He lost 7-6 6-4 in the final, but regardless it was a great week and he solidified his position in the top 100. Now he takes a much needed break this week coming up. Hopefully he can finish the season top 100, and get back to playing ATP events regularly.
