Yes hopefully Filo gained confidence ahead of the european clay season. He wasnt great in South America after getting to 1 final he started to suck so hopefully he can play better in Europe.

Recently Volandri helped Italy defeat Luxembourg 5-0 with 2 singles wins and today he smashed Portas 6-0 6-1 in the 1st round of Valencia. Forza Pippo!

Yea Filo was killer in that DC tie.  Looks like hes carring that form into Valencia.

Well the Luxembourg tie he didnt have difficult opponents and even though portas is nothing special anymore losing just 1 game to him is quite spectacular!

Oh dear this is a TOUGH 1st rnd. Jose is sooooo good on clay and already has a title on the stuff this year. I think this match is first up on center court so hopefully I'll be able to see him play.

Filo is really in bad form. He needs some easy matches to get better first but Acasuso always plays well v Filo so it was tough. Oh well lets hope Volandri can get better so he can have a good torneo in Roma.
