What is the significance of the buddy list? I get ignore, you don't have to watch their posts, but I have not seen an explanation for what is different with buddies.

I got curious, as I've never heard of a couple of these before, so I searched for posts. kingiskingfineon doesn't exist according to the search function. Typo? Else he/she changed the name. If someone changes their name, will that new name then show up in the ignore list? That would be my assumption. If correct, you might have another name there now. |

You can choose to receive PMs only from those you yourself has defined as buddies. They are added/removed the same place you maintain your "ignore" list, first "User CP", then "Miscellaneous - buddy/ignore list" on the left hand part of the screen.
Those who are open for PMs from everybody (except your ignore list) will see no difference between buddies and regular posters, I believe. |
