Hair done properly
Just back from the hairdresser. Sent there by my wife Petra. I made a bet with my trainer Daniel, that if I won another ATP title, I would cut my hair myself. Well, I won in Vietnam, so I went to work with my electric shaver in the airport lounge in Bangkok on my way to Stockholm. I looked pretty good, if you ask me. But Petra was of an other opinion. so an appointment with the hairdresser quickly got high priority, and now I look even better.!
My focus on my singles game this summer paid off in a beautiful way. Wow! And again - wow!

 Bless him!!

Great form in Stockholm
It feels like my fine form from Vietnam is still there when I am training for the Stockholm Open. I have been playing against Thomas Johansson and Thomas Enqvist, and I hope to reach at least the quarter final this year. Thomas Johansson is one of my favorites for the title, along with James Blake, Robby Ginepri and Richard Gasquet.

Bachelor party for Thomas J
Thomas Johansson is gettuing married later this year. This week, we kidnapped him during a interview with a Swedish radio profile for his bachelor party. That was a perfect start! Then Thomas was handed a national team overall from 1979 to wear (it looked so cool, we all want one like that now!) and we went to a racing track where Thomas got to drive a racing car (he loves high speeds!). Back to Stockholm City for a indoor hockey game, a calendar photo shoot (like they say in "Pimp my ride" on MTV: You´ve officially been pimped!) and finally dinner at the former football star Tomas Brolin´s restaurant Undici. Great concept, and great fun!

Extraordinary form
I should probably not write this - but my form feels extraordinary right now!
I hit the ball perfectly, move fluently across the court, and I feel a tremendous security in every situation. All the positive aspects that I gained from my victory in Vietnam is still there. Now, I just I have to put all this together in my upcoming matches. and I will be unbeatable.! I will play against Wesley Moodie, South Africa, in Stockholm Open today - twice.
First in the singles, then with Thomas Johansson in the doubles, where Moodie is teamig up with Stephen Huss from Australia, the team that won Wimbledon this summer. Moodie also has a great form. He won in Tokyo last week, and he has climbed fast to spot 57 in the entry rankings (where I am 66). So it´s going to be tough. He serves lika a horse kicks, and he hangs on the net, so I have to return well and get the ball into play.

Re: JONAS BJORKMAN
Don't know if you saw it, but there's an interview of Jonas on svt.se :
http://svt.se/svt/jsp/Crosslink.jsp?d=21874&lid=Sport
It's on the right, on sportspelgen, the second one, apparently, it's a long one.
If someone who understands Swedish can sum up. Thanks.

Re: JONAS BJORKMAN
Val, could you maybe save the interview for me until I am back?
So I can translate it when I am back in Hamburg and I am afraid it maybe
won´t be on the site anymore?
Jonas was really playing great yesterday, both in singles and doubles
I have a very good feeling and think he can really go long this year

Re: JONAS BJORKMAN
We can't save the interviews on this website, sorry. I already tried as you can imagine I think the inter will stay on the website, there are many interviews, and not recent ones.

Re: JONAS BJORKMAN
Björkman Defeats Tokyo Champ
In a battle of recent champions, Jonas Björkman won in two straight sets against Wesley Moodie.
The Swedish 33- year old won his sixth career title in Ho Chi Minh City ten days ago and is back to the tournament where he won eight years ago. Moodie scored the win of his career when he triumphed in Tokyo last week, where he beat players such as Youzhny, Stepanek, Nieminen and Ancic. In the final against Ancic, the South African saved two match points on the way to his first singles title.
Today’s match included a lot of serve- and volley rallies with Björkman being the more alert player. The Swede broke Moodie’s serve at 3-3 in the first set and at 2-2 and 4-2 in the second set to reach the second round.
- I had not played a match for nine days since my win in Vietnam. Therefore, I was really inspired today, Björkman said at the post match conference.
In the next round, Björkman will play the No. 4 seed Mario Ancic. The tall croat defeated Karol Beck 7-6(2), 6-4 earlier today.
- It is going to be really tough. Ancic is one of the new stars on the tour. He has already reached the semifinal at Wimbledon and has already got a lot of experience. He’s got a big game with a big serve and he plays very aggressively. He gets better for every year and will continue to improve.
Björkman will also be in action later tonight in doubles, where he teams up with Thomas Johansson. Moodie will once again be on the opposite side of the court, together with Stephen Huss.
