España vs. Argentina
Who will win?
Spain is very strong
Argentina has enough great players to make 2 or 3 competitive teams
Spain plays at home
Gaudio has lost only 1 match (Kafelnikov, who saved 2 match points)
Spain..... plays at home
Coria is unbeatable now
Spain..... er, well they play at home
Argentina is back to the times of Vilas and Clerc
Spain..... will have the cheering of the people
Argentina will have a lot of people there too.

Re: España vs. Argentina
Argentina will win
The team may be:
Gaudio
Nalbandian
Coria
But the only one who plays doubles is Nalbandian, so Lucas Arnold will go too.
I hope David will play because Gaudio always plays (and always wins) and Coria is in his best moment.

I think that home advantage can go a long way to help a team to victory in Davis Cup, but Argentina are the strongest team by far at the moment. Moya, Costa and Corretja are not at their best these days, and, as Catriel says, there will be a lot of support there for Argentina! There will certainly be a big group of us from England going over to support them - I am counting the days and can hardly wait - it should be the most AMAZING atmosphere! And what about Mariano Zabaleta for the team - he has been playing great recently, winning Bastad and a semi-finalist in Kitzbuehel, - he's a pretty good doubles player too!
What does anyone else think?
VAMOS ARGENTINA!
Love,
Rosie

Sky mentioned during their Montreal ATP masters coverage a couple of days ago, that all of the Spain V Argentina match will be televised live here in the UK. I think it will be a very exciting tie, with Argentina winning it.

A friend has just called me to say that they have announced the Argentine team, and it will be Coria, Gaudio, Nalbandian and Calleri.... Can anyone tell me if this is actually official or not?

Hi Esther, - yes Sky TV is a satellite channel (pay TV). If you are staying in a Hotel, then the chances are you will have access to it anyway as most decent Hotels have it installed as standard. If you are with friends then it would depend whether they have it set up or not, - often the tennis is actually shown on a separate Digital Sky Channel called Sky Sports Extra (Channel 404) - hope that helps - whereabouts in England are you going?

OK Esther, - I promise I will file some match reports when I get back from Malaga I might even post some photos if I take any that are good enough(!), but I get VERY nervous when I watch Guillermo play so my hands will probably be skaking too much to hold the camera straight!

Yes, I'm going for the whole 3 days Esther, - we bought our tickets absolutely ages ago! It should be a wonderful atmosphere and a great experience, - we will have to make a LOT of noise though, because we Argentina fans are going to be badly outnumbered!
