Re: Canadian players
Canada wins 6-4, 6-3, 6-3, double break in the 3rd, unfortunately ending on a DF. As expected, not exactly a nail-biter. I don't think the Canadians faced a breakpoint.

Re: Canadian players
Nice to get it done 3-0
So, for next year, things look like this in Americas D1
Uruguay
Mexico
Ecuador
Brazil?
USA/Colombia
We would travel to any of the first three, and would host either Brazil or USA/Colombia. Assuming Brazil wins, we've got a decent shot at promoting, especially if we get lucky with the draw and end up away from USA/Colombia.

Re: Canadian players
Peter is playing well today.
I read he's going to Bangkok for the ATP tourney. Will be interesting to see his qualifying draw.

I think so.. He said in the post-match interview that he was travelling to Asia tonight. He didn't mention Bangkok, but he said on Twitter that he will play it, so..
BTW, He won 6-1, 6-2.
The last set kinda bugs me a bit... He played so well until 5-0, when he let Estrella back in the set to 5-2 Last set really should have been a bagle.

Re: Canadian players
If he is going to get better, he has to be able to beat Rochus/Mar... and I wouldn't be surprised if Dodig makes the QFs over Grigor, I think that will be a tight match between those two, could go either way.

Re: Canadian players
Frank is impressive today! Granted, not playing against the best player in the world, but still.. His serve is great, his concentration is great.. I hope this is the start of something more.. would be nice to see a comeback for Frank

the assumption that he'll face grigor in the quarters if he gets that far is just the fan in me hoping grigor makes it to the QF. But you are right dodig very well could get through that match.
Your also right that he has to beat the best i was just saying that its a harsh draw with 2 of the bigger threats to take the title in his draw.

Re: Canadian players
come to think of it with belgium/australia's davis cup tie delayed until monday then if ollie rochus even gets to this event he will be in no shape to win anything.
