Say if you need a translation, but it's really not very interesting and we already knew the answers to most of the questions.

Choucroute !
This is illogical, M.Mathieu, how can you say to have a weakness for food and then say: choucrute is better than bouillabaisse.
My French teacher is right: les Alsaciens ne sont pas de vrais francais.

Re: Articles & Interviews
Thank you so much, Fran I think I get it
(but I don't get Paulo... he doesn't like football? Imagine if he's a football fan, I would have been 'more' crazy about him! And a bit , but what kind of drink is Ricard?)

It's pastis An alcohol, which is yellow, and gets white when you add water

Like me, he may have never eaten real bouillabaisse I would have answered choucroute too
And don't say that : if so, the Corses, the Bretons, the Chitimis (from the North) and the Basques aren't real French either

Thanks Marie so it's the same thing It changes color!!!! COOL!!!
I had pastis before... I believe it's in a cocktail. I've always hated alcohol, but I try most of them anyway

Re: Articles & Interviews
I didn't get the question about the Ricard either, I would have answered the same as Paulo, what was the point? It's like asking "Heineken or beer?".
These interviews never are interesting, but this one really is of the worst kind. It's full of mistakes too, can't they run a spelling check before publishing something on the Internet?
I agree with Puschkin's teacher, I don't know the Basques, but I think Alsaciens really are at another level in that regard compared to Bretons or Chtimis (and as a Bretonne born in Douai, I know both regions). The language, the traditions... They even have their own public holidays different from the rest of France for Eastern.
Does Paulo speak German, btw?

That is exactly what my teacher told us, and the holidays are so German. We discussed this in the context of Christmas traditios.....I find it quite interesting that a rather short (historically speaking) German occupation (not more than 50 yeras) could leave such a strong cultural impact......

I've been wanting to know the answer to that question for ages. My father spent a year in Heidelberg so he can speak a bit of German. He once asked me if Paulo could speak the language...
I'll ask him when he comes to Thailand later this year *i'm in a dreaming mode*

Hey Françoise.. I guess a breton would never distinguish a Pastis from a Ricard but there is a difference
I think they compare Ricard to Pastis 51 here (which is commonly named pastis) so it's not like chosing between a Heineken or a Beer. (comparing a Heineken to a Guiness would be more appropriate then )
I am sorry but I found this question quite funny (being from the south I guess) and Paulo's reaction and yours is typical from the North.
In Marseille and in my region too, you are either addicted to Ricard or Pastis 51 but it cannot be both.. Believe me

Re: Articles & Interviews
I know "Pastis 51", but pastis is just pastis for me.
The interview is lame though. How important is friendship? What do they him expect to say? "Bof..."?
Where are the wedding pics, Ome? Can you post them in the Chat thread, please?
