Sorry to answer you so late, not too late i hope...

For all the movies you could have teasers, reviews, synopsis, pics etc...here on many Belgian, French, Qébecois sites (voir.ca, ecran noir, many newspapers' site etc...) so just search a bit more on the net and you'll find more infos...I just put the review and other things you could find on the Movie Review Query Engine and Allociné for each movie because there are well-known and complete enough but you'll be able to know a lot more on other sites too...

Peindre ou faire l’amour (2005) = French "intellectual" movie but with Great actors Daniel Auteuil, Sabine Azema etc...I didn't want to go see it when it came out. It could be very boring or very good 50/50.
Reviews here (3 in English), grades, synopsis etc...http://www.mrqe.com/lookup?Peindre+ou+faire+l%27amour
The page of Allociné about it...: http://www.allocine.fr/film/fichefil...ilm=58991.html
( don't go see this one...)

J’me sens pas belle (2004)=Romantic comedy of thirtysomething bla bla bla...With Marina Foïs of the group of comic making sketches and every thing...don't know the word in English Les Robins des Bois...and Julien Boisselier, an upcoming actor who accumulated less comic romantic stuff lately...
Movie Reviw Query Engine have listed one review of it in English:
http://www.mrqe.com/lookup?J%27me+sens+pas+belle
Allociné's page on it: http://www.allocine.fr/film/fichefil...ilm=54493.html

Gazon maudit (1995)=I don't like this movie very much. My parents like it a lot so they have it on tape. It's supposed to be a comedy. It received a Césars for its scenario... It's about a lesbian woman who arrive in a family with her camping-car on their lawn hence the title...It can be funny at times but really there's better. The actors are great though. And the aspect of comedy which consist in witty critics of bad aspects of typical FGrench Southern mentality are great...Spanish actress who did a lot of French movies (like 50 of them or something...) Victoria Abril, French "comique"/actor/director/productor Alain Chabat and French "comique"/actress/director on this film Josiane Balasko. Weird story though. Actually i don't remeber this movie so i'm not sure of what i really think of it anymore..I should see it again.
MRQE (lot of things on it...): http://www.mrqe.com/lookup?Gazon+Maudit
Alloociné's: http://www.allocine.fr/film/fichefil...film=11550.htm

Violence des échanges en milieu tempéré (2004)=Great smart documented film with a point of view! That's not entertainment but that great acting and great portraying, reflexion on a situation, great directing etc...If the subject interest you you'll have a wonderful time. If not you'll just recognize the quality of this movie but it won't leave you with a fantastic memory as seing a movie that has an impact on you do...
Friends who have seen it told me a lot of good about it. It started a discussion and everything. I've taped it when it aired on a "Cinema channel" when i still had them (not the case anymore...) and i have to find the time to see it. i look forward to it! Especially since i like Belgian actor Jérémie Reignier a lot...
MRQE (1 review in English, positive if i may add...): http://www.mrqe.com/lookup?Violence+...milieu+tempere
Allociné's: http://www.allocine.fr/film/fichefil...ilm=28735.html

L’annulaire (2005)=Based on a novel from the Japanese novelist Yôko Ogawa which the director like...Didn't tempt me when it came out... Main actress is a certain Olga Kurylenko, don't know her... Do as you please. It could be good or not.
Allociné: http://www.allocine.fr/film/fichefil...ilm=59902.html
MRQE (only one review in French): http://www.mrqe.com/lookup?L%92annulaire

À boire (2004) =Three person getting drunk together while in vacation in the mountains to forget about their problems or something like that..."Choral thing" (don't remeber the right expression especially in English...), ménage à trois bla bla bla...
Emmanuelle Béart (not the best role of this fantastic actress...)
Atmen Kelif (great actor in some great comedies when the script is great, if not...hum...)
Edouard Baer (another guy from the Jewish comic establishment of French cinema...Can be fantastic in smart/noir etc comedies...From what i read at the time...Is not in that movie..."dandy-like")
I haven't seen it though. And i'm often surprised about film i didn't expect to enjoy so...

Bernie (1996) = A classic of Albert Dupontel! A crazy story! A guy living orphanage at thirty and shaking everything around him... This is a great movie with comedy, critics being made intelligently, a wonderful direction etc...
"BERNIE wouldn't have been made in Hollywood, like its more serious predecessor from Belgium, the excellent "C'est Arrivé Près de Chez Vous". Dupontel is great as Bernie, like I was saying. He's disturbing yet lovable, childish yet violent. The direction is awesome. Dupontel's camera is very dynamic. He multiplies visual trickery, inventive shots and camera movements. The music fits the action brilliantly. I really enjoyed the raunchy guitar riffs. BERNIE is a sick film that somehow is highly entertaining. If you have any problem with violence, keep your distances! But if you're ready for a wild ride, hang on and have a blast! "
Allociné: http://www.allocine.fr/film/fichefil...ilm=15895.html
MRQE: http://www.mrqe.com/lookup?^Bernie+(1996)

Les égarés (2003)= A Téchiné movie...So it's got a minimum level of quality at least as soon as you know that. I liked this movie but i know some ppl who didn't. I thought it made me understand with all the other movies i had seen about that, how ppl may have felt during WW2 in Fr. It's part of those recent movie which only see this subject from the point of view of a little group of isolated characters not living it like most of the other ppl, it's the end of the use of this subject in cinema, the mourning and digestion of this has been done so it's more and more about showing the diversity of experinces that could had happened during that time, going against clichés etc...
Not that much action, very realist, interesting.
Great actors, from the children to Béart and Gaspard Ulliel ( )...Great portraying of characters. Not a masterpiece, far from it but truely a good movie IMHO. I liked it at least. It's subtle.

Pourquoi (pas) le Brésil? (2004) =I think it was at Cannes too. Well, didn't see it but was told good things about it. The director is Laetitia Masson. Synopsis: "A/The director Laetitia Masson, who's not too well artistically and financially is proposed by a producer, Maurice Rey, to adapt an unadaptable book from Christine Angot untitled "Pourquoi (pas) le Brésil?". Her work and problems begin. The more she thinks this adaptation is impossible the more the book introduces in her life and little by little without noticing it she's getting adapted by the book..." Hum. It could be good or not. Don't know what to think but i have a good feeling about this film despite the weird story. I like Elsa Zyllberstein, the main actress. You could see the movie "Qui perd gagne" with her in it. It's an intelligent entertaining movie.
MRQE:http://www.mrqe.com/lookup?Pourquoi+...9+le+Bresil%3F
Allociné:http://www.mrqe.com/lookup?Pourquoi+...9+le+Bresil%3F

Anthony Zimmer (2005) Go see it if you can. A thriller with Sophie Marceau (some go over her...) and Yvan Attal in it should be entertaining. Debut of the director so i don't know much about him. Many ppl liked it. You could go see it.

Banlieue 13 (2004)=Another futuristic action movie produced by Luc Besson...It roughly deals with the problem of the French "banlieus" =suburbs but it's the contrary to the phenomenon in Anglo-Saxon countries for most of them...: the more in the ouskirt of one big city the roughher the area is, the poorer etc...It's not leafy rich areas like in the US for ex...The situation is getting concerning in some of them. It kind of imagines how they'll be in a few years, how the situation will have evolved and it's pessimistic about it. But the analysis don't go very far, it's very simplistic i assume...Remember it's a Besson movie of late (the first were great for almost all of them The big Blue, Joan of Arc, The fifth Element, La femme Nikita etc..., i hope there will be a Leon 2 as it's hinted, he's far better as a director than as a producer to say the least... the Taxis serie, the Transporters serie and many other semi or complete French or international craps...)
You could still enjoy it. Some ppl did and i may if i come to see it as i haven't... But if so i'm sure i'll quickly forget about it. Want to see a great intelligent French action movie? See "Nid de guêpes"!
MRQE: http://www.mrqe.com/lookup?Banlieue+13
Allociné: http://www.allocine.fr/film/fichefil...ilm=54107.html

Le rôle de sa vie (2004) = about a famous actress and her agent or associate something like that... It could be enjoyable! Great actors! Agnès Jaoui, Karine Viard, Belgian Jonathan Zaccaï etc... I didn't see it. (i would have if i could maybe i think...)
MRQE: http://www.mrqe.com/lookup?Le+role+de+sa+vie
Allociné: http://www.allocine.fr/film/fichefil...ilm=49761.html

Les bronzés (1978)= Old comedy from someone who's now become a serious director not as this movie suggest: Patrice Leconte (The Girl on the Bridge, Ridicule, Intimate Strangers etc...). Debut of a group of comics , from a café-théâtre: Le Splendide on film. Many of them are now established actors. It airs on tv very often.
Allociné: http://www.allocine.fr/film/fichefil...film=9798.html

Narco (2004)
= Crazy movie which doesn't take itself seriously with lots of references, great actors usually doing dramas enjoying to do a parody of serie B or even serie Z... I liked it! Silly at times, very inventive at others, songs etc...
Guillaume Canet (of 'the Beach'... , Jeux d'enfants, Le frère du guerrier etc... )
Zabou Breitman
The hilarious Belgian Benoît Poelvoorde
The legend of French cinema Jean-Pierre Marielle
Vanessa Paradis

Go see it! Original pop corn movie which doesn't hide being one.

Diên Biên Phu (1991) = Don't know what to think...
Allociné: http://www.allocine.fr/film/fichefil...ilm=39448.html
IMO, don't take the risk if you haven't more infos...

Son frère (2003)= Drama about two brothers hating each other regrouping because one is sick with a very serious illness and dying...Directed by very established director (both of plays and movies...) Patrice Chéreau. Each time he makes something in theaters (last time it was "Phèdre"...it's sold out...). Go if you like these kind of films. It must be well directed. In these kind of films, i liked "Le clan"...

Allociné: http://www.allocine.fr/film/fichefil...ilm=47796.html

La chèvre (1981)= Another very old comedy... Well, do as you like. It's part of a looongg serie of them that Veber did with Depardieu and Pierre Richard...Very simple humour. Hum.

Le Grand Voyage (2004) = Road movie depicting the typical French of Maghrebian descent (not an English word i know, it doesn't exist but North African isn't a term i like for these kind of situation...) trying to find his place between his roots and his country, the good balance etc...It was praised and i'd like to see it. Thise guy bring his grandfather or father don't remember to the Mecca...There's also a very good young French actor in it (and a hottie if i may add...) Nicolas Cazalé ( )...He makes some Chevignon ads...Maybe you know him. Go see it!

Là haut, Un roi au-dessus des nuages (2002)= Taking place in Thailand...Don't know more about it...
Allociné: http://www.allocine.fr/film/fichefil...ilm=41953.html

Le Père Noël est une ordure (1982) = Old comedy from the "Splendide" team again...I find this one funny. Very often on tv...

Joyeux Noël (2005) Is it the one from Christian Carion with Gary Lewis, Diane Kruger, Guillaume Canet, Daniel Brühl, Benno Fürmann, Danny Boon etc... In three languages, German-British-French-Ronanian-Belgian prod about this famous night in the trenches during WW1???? If so it will only be out on November 9th here and you're very lucky! GGGGGGGGGOOOOOOOO SSSEEEEEE IT! Now! The early critics are very very good, dythirambic already!

MRQE: http://www.mrqe.com/lookup?Douches+froides
Allociné: http://www.allocine.fr/film/fichefil...ilm=60766.html

Les Visiteurs (1993) A comedy again with a weird scenario...Ppl coming from the past, the Middle Age etc... It had its little success. To have fun.
MRQE:http://www.mrqe.com/lookup?^Visiteurs,+Les+(1993)
Allociné:http://www.allocine.fr/film/fichefil...film=5241.html

L’esquive (2003)Great movie! It was awarded a lot of prizes...Abdellatif Kechiche is a great director and his previous movie was very good too. Not stereotyping or dramatizing the situation in the "banlieues"...Rehearsals of a play in a school in a "banlieue" by a little group of students...Sara Forestier, Osman Elkharraz and Sabrina Ouazani are now considered as promising actors having a lot of projects...Go see it! But i don't know how it is translated in the subtitles or how it is dubbed because there is A LOT of slang in that so... It's part of the charm of the movie so i hope it is still perceptible...

this is not really what the title refers to

btw everyone, you could also try looking for these movies on http://www.imdb.com/
The site offers a presentation page for all the movies, and it displays the name of the actors, the year it's been made, and the country where it is from. And what's cool is that you can see which title has been given to the film in foreign countries, which can help a lot when you try to tell someone from another country about a film you like in your country.
