I had no big hopes of him going deep here, but it would have been nice to grab his first official win of the year here today. Oh well, it just wasn't meant to be...

Take a long rest and come back strong, Robin. Now is a good time to do whatever precautions there are to sort out the issues with his arm, at least as good as they can be taken care of.

nightmare is right tim.... i thought i was going to cry. im here in melbourne till sunday cos i thought he'd be here until then

i still cant believe it.. magnus looked SO disappointed. he said something about "we have to change something" when i asked him about next year.
ill put some photos up when im back home -internet is too slow here.

to all Soda fans. And I thought being a Nalby fan was tough! I haven't experienced a loss that soul crushing since Nalby blew a 2 set lead to Chardy in the French Open 2nd round 2008 and lost in 5 sets before Chardy was even a known name on tour. Same empty feeling inside. He should've been able to finish it. He was even up a break in the third. What else can you say?

I want to wipe that one out of memory as soon as possible. "Disappointing" is an understatement despite my knowledge of his physical problems.

I only saw the final set on TV before having to leave for work. So I can't really say anything about what happened or why. Is Robin's elbow still troubling him do you think?

It's awful to feel like that about a tennis match/player, but quite natural though I think, when the pressures and emotions catch up with you - especially when you are there live. I remember I really did cry when Novak had match points against Nadal in Madrid last year and still lost

Also when he lost the Queens Final in 2008. I'm sure Robin will come back strong, and hope you can enjoy the rest of the tournament

I was away and couldn't watch the match. Now I'm happy that I didn't. Simply horrible. I hope he doesn't play more small tourneys, especially exos, for a while. First some rest, then learn to focus on the big tourneys. Even though he didn't look good before AO, I didn't expect this disaster...

I really hope you're right. He must rest some weeks now and not play any exhos for a long time because he have to recover his elbow, otherwhise he will loose more matches.
