Default What is the point of "reverse racism"?

Can someone please explain it to me? I don't get it... I know it is when a white person is treated terribly by a minority, but racism is defined as hatred or intolerance of a race/believing one race is superior over another, thus, isn't this "reverse racism" just racism? Shouldn't reverse racism be tolerance and love of all races and believing all races are equal?
Excuse my naivete, but I don't get it...

Principle of universal understanding is out of our grasp.

Everything else , including racism is for the most part explained in general sense and limited knowledge. Which can be blatantly abused.

It has to do with when you are racist against those perceived to be in a position of power. For example, if I travel to Saudi Arabia and start discriminating against Arab people. Probably won't end up very well for me.

Strictly speaking reverse racism is just as bad as "regular" racism. It's just the harm that is done is usually less, since the group being discriminated has power to defend itself.

Reverse racism is an euphemism generally employed by white supremacists and other charming people, referring to attitudes that accord minorities the same "preferential treatment" once enjoyed by members of the racial majority; or any slight, real or imagined, against the majority (typically white) by those of other races.
It's also a beloved troll topic, for those for think people working towards equality take things too far, and in order to avoid the "reverse racism" label they must... stop their efforts.

Short story, describing anything as reverse racist is a good way to look like a racist yourself. Racist views held towards majority groups are still generally considered racism, like Michael said before.

All of this. Probably the most coherent (and correct) definition I've ever read.

First of all, I think what you're asking about is racism in America, but there are white people, black people, and all other races in different areas that experience racism and discrimination in very different ways. For example, if you were to read about the current situation in Zimbabwe, you might find that a lot of white farmers living there have had their land seized by the government. There is also racism by people of color against each other. There is also discrimination among white people. So I think that is exactly what you said, that people mainly base their whole argument on personal anecdotes.

This issue became prevalent when affirmative action started.

It's basically when the majority are discriminated against because there is a quota for a minority to fill a job or position.

I do believe in reverse-discrimination when everything else is equal. Don't promote or hire to send to school the less qualified to fill the seats with whatever race. If I score X on an admissions test, and you score X on an admissions test, and you are the minority, the scholarship goes to you.

When laws are created to help one group of people which in turn hurts another group. So if a company or city is told to hire minorities, then white people for example are being reverse discriminated against.
This is one of the reasons anyway.

You can write as much as you want and try to make it look respectable, but it's been clear to anyone here: all your posts should come with the labels "racist, mysoginist, homophobic, religious freak".

Do you really think an Ad-Hominem is going to disprove the facts i've listed?

Try harder.
