Dent-Fish Match - did both withdraw???
I'm watching the live scoreboard expecting to see the Fish/Dent match...but it is showing Tursunov vs. Okun (tursunov leading 1-0)..
What is going on??? I thought Fish might withdraw but someone saw Dent practicing yesterday (even had pictures)...this is weird!!

By the way, they have Tursunov's name spelled wrong on the scoreboard...it is listed at "Tursonov"

Yes, they announced it right after Andre's match. Hence why I am home and not there anymore.

Re: Dent-Fish Match - did both withdraw???
The announcer said that they both tried to play before the match and could not. I saw them both in LA - Dent last night and he was in the stands smiling and stuff during another match. And I saw Fish at 6pm Pacific warming up with a buddy - guess he decided after that that he couldn't play. Too bad.
I would've stayed if it had been the middle of the day but I am tired and have had a long few days. Thought it would be nice to get home a little earlier.

Tursunov vs. Agassi SF - Winner of that is your 2005 Mercedes-Benz champ.

Re: Dent-Fish Match - did both withdraw???
I saw Taylor today on the grounds and he was smiling and signed an autograph. After that, he quickly vanished. I saw Mardy practicing, and he left the court looking very grim, didn't pause to sign autographs or take photos.
Taylor lives in Newport Beach, so its not surprising that he would fly all the way from Indy to LA.
I knew one of them would flake out of the match, but I was surprised that it was both. Taylor said that he felt better Monday, so I'm surprised that he's using a 'heat injury' as an excuse. There's no heat during a night match, and I honestly just don't buy it as an excuse.

Ahhh...I didn't realize Taylor lived in Southern California now...a few days of R&R at home makes total sense!

Re: Dent-Fish Match - did both withdraw???
Well and it makes sense that Taylor thought he might be able to play... but obviously he tried and couldn't. Mardy never should've stayed in the draw after retiring from Indy. Saw him a bunch over the last few days and he was either icing or rubbing his wrist every time.

I'll bet he's very vocal
Did Taylor have a heatstroke on Sunday? I just don't get it.
